Consultancy around the world
After 3 years in Ivory Cost, with work of African Development Bank, I moved back to Finland. I joined to my collegue Architect Harry Svendblad's Office in Helsinki. The idea was to get a bigger design team for tasks connected with construction works outside Finland.
The biggest projects were in Soviet Union, such as upgrading of Sovietsky (former Finnish Viborg) Paper Factory and design its new Housing area in Viborg near the Finnish Border. The turn key construction tender documents of the Housing area of 4,000 people were prepared for a Finnish joint construction company Palkki-Hartela.
Our architectural joint company got a name Finngroup Architects & Consultants Oy (Ltd).
There were also other, mainly short term consultancy tasks, without need of big consultant team.
I worked as an individual Consultant in projects of World Bank, African Development Bank, Finnida (KYO), Unesco, Opec, etc.
The tasks were later divided into projects in Finland and projects abroad. That is why Finngroup Architects and Consultants Oy (Ltd) was divided into 2 companies. The Export Project were given to Architect Esa Paaso, Finngroup Architects & Consultants Ltd.
Some years later Finngroup got tasks also in Finland, eg. Design of Schools in Helsinki.
