When the American Forces came to help Northern Alliance of Afghans in the fight against Taleban they were received at Kabul Air Field by Mr. M. Qanooni, War Lord, who became Minister of  Education in the Government.

Some months later I was recruited by the Asian Development Bank, ADB, to work as a Lead Consultant in the Construction Department in the  Ministry of Education for development of reconstruction of Education Facilities.

It took some months to get a permanent office (previous Primary School, damaged in during fights). I organized renovation of building, bought furniture and 10 computers, etc. and started training of the Staff of the Construction Department, with a budget of USD 1,2 million. After some months I got a Team from a Swedish Consultant Firm, HIFAB to help me. They had short term specialists, as Architects, Engineers and an Economist.

It has been estimated that the war in Afghanistan had cost more likely the USA alone more than USD 2 trillion (President Biden, 2021).

Some USD 150 million in nonmilitary USA aid alone flowed into Afghanistan from 2001 to 2020.

Inspite of all that, In August 2021 Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan.

 I was in Kabul, Afghanistan for 2 years. During  that period  many girls went to school and new Schools were provided for Afghan children
